Canbridge Global Immigration is at the forefront of assisting students to study abroad, with a keen understanding of the evolving motivations and challenges faced by Indian students. According to a study by Oxford International Education Services, Indian students are increasingly drawn to the prospects of better career opportunities, cultural immersion, and language mastery that studying abroad offers.
The study revealed that almost half of the Indian students surveyed cited better career prospects as their primary motivation, followed closely by the desire for cultural experiences and language development. However, the cost of living and high tuition fees emerged as significant barriers for many students.
Despite these challenges, there has been a notable increase in the number of Indian students pursuing higher education abroad, even amidst economic uncertainties and rising job losses in destination countries. This trend is supported by a variety of factors, such as increased financing options, more aid and scholarships, and the growing influence of social media platforms.
Mohit Gambir, Managing Director of Oxford International Education Services, highlighted the importance of these findings in shaping the educational landscape for Indian students. He noted that 42% of Indian students believe that studying a specific subject would enhance their job prospects, while 35% anticipate better-paid career opportunities after studying abroad.
Additionally, the study found that 38% of Indian students seek a global perspective through higher education abroad, with postgraduate students showing a strong interest in acquiring diverse skills and knowledge driven by personal interests. Despite the allure of international education, some Indian students perceive enrolling in foreign programs as more challenging than in their home country.
Canbridge Global Immigration understands the aspirations and challenges of Indian students seeking to study abroad. With our expertise and commitment, we aim to facilitate the journey of Indian students towards achieving their academic and career goals on the global stage.
